I wish I could find the perfect words to explain how incredibly wonderful my boyfriend and his twin brother are....but nothing I could ever say would do it justice. But I'll try...
Derek Gardner is not only probably the most hilarious person you will ever meet, he is also probably the most loyal. When Derek is absent...the room tends to feel empty and humorless. He is the constant positive attitude and fun-loving energy that keeps his group of friends in tact. But like I said, he isn't just the clown of the group, he is also one of the most loyal. I've seen him rush to the hospital (missing important classes to do so) just to sit in the waiting room to make sure a friend is okay. I've also noticed that he ALWAYS makes an effort to bridge the gaps in geography for friendships and is willing to go above and beyond to stay in touch with old friends. He truly is an unbelieveable person and I literally feel honored to be his friend. If you don't know Derek Gardner...it would definitely be in your best interest to meet him.
Austin.....where do I even begin with him? I think it is safe to say that he is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Austin has helped me through so much these past 11ish months of our relationship. He's helped me figure out who I am and has really helped me pursue my dreams. But aside from everything he has done for me, he is an amazing person on his own. Austin is, hands down, the most laid-back person I have ever met. His nonchalant attitude is so admirable and I am always thankful that I have him to help me put things in perspective. He is also the most hardworking person I have ever met. I watched him get up at about 6am EVERY SINGLE DAY for a month this summer to help his dad BUILD A HOUSE until about 10pm. He helped without hesitation or bad attitude. He was simply so grateful and happy to help his father. It was truly amazing to watch. He never fails to accomplish any goal or task he sets his mind to. Although you may not know it at first, he is also the sweetest and most caring person you'll ever know. He genuinely cares about every person he meets and he is completely selfless. He is constantly focused on making other people smile and ALWAYS puts the happiness of others before his own. Austin has a zest for life that so many people lack nowadays and is always happy and content with who he is. These, and countless other reasons, are what makes me love him so much.
